According to you, in what section should this be posted?

- Jacques Chirac injured in a jet-ski accident in Dominican Republic.
- Airbus wins a US Airforce multi-billion tanker deal
- France-USA: a more than 200 years old alliance
- From Miami, Jacques Chirac says he backs Turkey's entrance in the EU
- Rachid Ramda extradited from UK to France.
- France humiliates England 54-3 in Wembley and wins 6-Nations Grand-Slam.

As there have been quite a lot of submissions in inappropriate sections recently, I'm thankful for your question which I'll try to use as an illustration:

Jacques Chirac injured in a jet-ski accident in Dominican Republic.
Varies from Pub to Discussions to France, depending on the gravity of the accident. Flames if it is about the board member JacquesChirac.

Airbus wins a US Airforce multi-billion tanker deal
USA section.

France-USA: a more than 200 years old alliance
Discussions section.

From Miami, Jacques Chirac says he backs Turkey's entrance in the EU
World section.

Rachid Ramda extradited from UK to France
France or possibly World section.

France humiliates England 54-3 in Wembley and wins 6-Nations Grand-Slam
Fantasy section ;)

Again, if your news is really news it will be published, provided it is not a duplicate, you keep the original title, you post a link to the original paper and choose the right section. Posts which do not respect these simple rules will either end up in Discussions (most of the time) or be junked.

Publishing is a manual process and can take anything from 15 minutes up to 10 hours. As a matter of courtesy, please do not spam the news sections and do not bugger mods with private messages informing them you posted something.

Checking if something has been posted previously in a News section is pretty straightforward: Go to the relevant section(s) and do a search on a keyword from your article title (Ctrl-F or Apple-F). The three news pages each contain the 100 latest respective article titles, so if your article has been published before you will find it, if not go for it.
