The International Olympic Committee (IOC) does not recognise global ranking per country; the medal tables are displayed for information only.
The medal tables by country are based on the number of medals won, with gold medals taking priority over silver and bronze. A team victory counts as one medal.

EU countries medals total places the European Union at the top of the medal table of every single Olympic Game, summer and winter, since Baron Pierre de Coubertin woke them up in 1896 and 1924.
This is only an adecdotal symbol of what the Europeans can do when they are united.
That's a typical retard rant from a French, kids. EU countries are COMPETING against each other in the Olympics. And here comes a retarded French talking about thsi as an example of some united Europe

European Union???? An oxymoron if I ever saw one.
Well, when I see the Blue States/Red States arguments on this board or elsewhere, and what some of you post about NYC, Seattle, Detroit or San Francisco, your States don't seem to be more united than ours!
If true, french stores would not be boycotting Danish products
Well, if you mean the Carrefour store in the middle east, it's not a French store.
Maybe you need to learn about how Franchized stores work, and what level of independence their local management have.
Besides, maybe you should not do like the "mussies" and confuse political decisions engaging countries and private individual initiatives. This is a dangerous amalgam, as we can see.
