Some (British) food for thoughts
At least you´re obstinate
The bashers, with whom you are siding with on this thread, would tell you that if it's a German channel, then it has EVERYTHING to do with Nazism AND Neo-Nazism.
Its the same stuff that I hear from your American "friends" every day in english but this time its in German and a number more vehement. Its satire otherwise this station would have real trouble
But feel free to keep on siding with the ones who call German ff.com members "Nazi Krauts" on a regular basis.
Nazi Krauts ohhhh thats tautologous

Phhhw. What's that smell? Something reeks!! Oh, it just Atlantics desperation.

Atlantic´s wrong as usual.
Sometimes, I call them "the Hun", other times "Krauts" and only very occasionally, "Nazis". Most of the time, I call them "Germans".
Compare and contrast with "Verminous, vainglorious, odious, dishonest, intellectually inconsistent, fucking French CUNTS" which is my default description for French citizens.

Anyway "nicknames" for French, Brits, Germans or Italians like Krauts, Frogs, Limeys or Macaronis are nothin special but only one person on the planet deserves the characterization

Would this be, by any chance, a fine example of British Humor, fair play and sportive spirit, Trafalgar?

Atlantic
I´m still puzzled.
Is this EU medal table thread your vision of the EU as you want it to be in the future?

HeHeHe Berlu bought a similar roll in Frankfurt but his paper is not in Gold, red and black. His roll has the colors of Schleswig-Holstein, Holland or United States but none of these States are meant You could ask Berlu, I think he´ll give you an answer

your vision of the EU as you want it to be in the future?
His vision, as is that of most leftists, is more likely something resembling this:
|
|
|
|
The problem is that the EU is not competing. Its world-beating array of Olympic medals does not count, because the EU members compete as individual nations.
Atlantic - you bolded this. Did you read it first?
In the future, this may change.
That would be a good time to start counting EU medals. When they exist. When the EU enters the competition as a team.

Is this EU medal table thread your vision of the EU as you want it to be in the future?
Come on!
Excuse me but my political, economical, social, cultural, military "vision" of the EU is slightly more sophisticated than this!
You shouldn't be puzzled.
Like I said in the 1st post, this thread is merely an adecdotal symbol of what the Europeans can do when they are united.
Atlantic - you bolded this. Did you read it first?
Yes, but you can't dissociate this from the following "In the future, this may change." as this is precisely the point of this thread.
That would be a good time to start counting EU medals. When they exist. When the EU enters the competition as a team.
This is probably what a conservative would do.
Here, and in many other fields, I prefer to anticipate.
Likewise, I don't use histoty to bash people on things that have happened decades or centuries ago.
I use the past to understand the present and prepare the future.

The US team should have had a bit more dedication.
Apparently getting drunk and skiing is not quite the combo.
Austria - there is nothing on you, our team gets juiced up legally and still loses. Keep doing your drugs, ours will keep getting soused.
What a shame
Caroline.

hahahahahha..... So, in the next olympics, the opening ceremonies will include the Chinaruskiranian team, the EU team, and the US... great... we should be able to knock it out in about 20 minutes or so....

Your nick is SimpleMath?
Let's see... about 200 - 25 + 1 = 176 countries for the Summer Games, not 3, and about the same number of athletes.
20 minutes?

Business as usual in Italy ... :
Les Norvégiens cambriolés !
21/02/2006 - 13:41
Seulement cinquième du relais, l'équipe masculine norvégienne de biathlon a peut-être payé une nuit agitée. Le camp de base norvégien à San Sicario a en effet été cambriolé. Des tenues officielles et une forte somme d'argent ont été dérobées.

Jerry, I really don't see the issue, everybody recognizes the European flag, so whether it is taken from the Torino 2006 site or another doesn't really matter, you didn't know ?

Then why not use the EU flag from Torino2006.org Arthur?
Could it be that torino2006.org isn't delusional like Queenie and they DON'T HAVE AN EU FLAG icon?

Maybe they don't Jerry, in that case taking it from somewhere else obviously makes sense, in order to illustrate the EU medal count, the only count that counts !!
(by the way, I don't know if you noticed but you got it wrong again, we obviously have to rely on Atlantic for this one)
