The Korean nation alternatively sends one or two teams, so did the German nation.
Palestine sent one team to Athens, is a nation but not a country.

There is a reason why they don't simply hand the current world champion the gold medal on opening day. It is called competition. You see, stupid, that is why they hold the Olympics.

While the better athlete often wins, on any given day a great performance can win. The more competitors you can field, the better your odds of winning. In a relay race, or ice skating, or team events, the huge advantage of these extra entries should be obvious even to a drooling mongoloid frog such as yourself.

Think about diving and gymnastics, where one mistake can devastate your score. Wouldn't every like a few dozen shots at giving the best performance instead of one?
