Atlantic, i kindly ask you do not count our medals in your idiotic statistic.
It's not a statistic, merely an addition.
And I didn't add any Padanian (or Albanian) medal.

Don't use our medals for your statistic. I tell you again.
Our winners didn't use the EU flag.. (they used the EU flag just at the toilette).

I have to give you credit for persisting in your unorthodox views, Atlantic, and not allowing yourself to be swayed by arguments based on reason, logic, or common sense.

Rat-lantic, you should at least consider to ask the other ff.com EU nationalities if they want to be included in your idiotic statistic.. don't be so crook to use the other nations' victories for yr propaganda.
|
|

You added the Italian medals.
Sure I did!
Italy (and Piedmont) didn't refuse the € billions of aid it got from the EU through the ERDF, and that made the organization of the games possible, did it?

No, simply because the Games have been supported by the Italian Government as reminded by the Olympic Co. President Rogge who thanked personally Berlusconi for the big help.
Link anyway.
What about your CAP? Your agricolture survives thanks to my money too.. don't forget.. and not just with a few €..
So, remove immediately our medals from your idiotic and childish statistic! Crook!

the Games have been supported by the Italian Government
I'm not talking about the Games budget, but the wider infrastructure investments that have been made possible by massive European Regional Development Fund aid.

You are absolutely wrong, as always. The Region of Piedmont can't obtain a such financing because it doesn't belong to the group A of the European regions that can be included in a such programme.

The Region of Piedmont can't obtain a such financing because it doesn't belong to the group A of the European regions that can be included in a such programme.
It belongs to the B list.
Piedmont is not in the ERDF Objective 1 (Regions whose development is lagging behind), they are in the Objective 2 list.
Objective 2 was "restructuring regions which are seriously affected by industrial decline" until 1999, and is "Economic and social conversion of areas facing structural difficulties" since.

Piedmont didn't get a single € at the opposite of what you frog do with PAC.
In fact you aren't able to provide a single link of the EU Commission.

In fact you aren't able to provide a single link of the EU Commission.
Because it's out of topic, Berlu!
I could post MANY.
Here's one:
Torino 2006
The 2006 Olympic Games - A selection of the most significant interventions that have transformed Piedmont
( 10 February 2006 ) The 2006 Olympic Games were a unique opportunity for a general renewal and development of the Piedmont Region for today and for the future. The works done to prepare for the Olympic Games regarded primarily Turin and the Susa , Chisone and Pellice valleys. They were funded by Law 285/2000 "Interventi per i Giochi Olimpici Invernali Torino 2006" (Interventions for the Olympic Winter Games Torino 2006), which identified the "necessary works", required for the performance of the competitions along with the accommodation structures for the athletes and communications workers, and the "connected" works, aimed at optimising the organisation of the event. The Fondo Europeo Sviluppo Regionale -European Regional Development Fund -E.R.D.F. ) set up a parallel programme of projects in the Olympic areas, inserted in a strategic plan with regional management. In Piedmont , from 1989 to today, the E.R.D.F. has contributed to the social and economic upgrading of large areas of the Region that were facing problems of industrial and rural decline, favouring a diversified re-qualification of the territory and safeguarding the central role of the system of minor businesses.

mmm are you so pro European that you don't know the origin of that money?
That are the money every country send to Brussels and generally Italy gets back much less of what we pay. (at the opposite of your PAC).
Anyway it's nothing respect at the total amount of money that was necessary to invest for the organization of the Olympics.
As you know, FIAT wanted the Olympics in Turin at any cost. They got it and they payed a lot for it. The Government also gave a large contribute.
