That are the money every country send to Brussels and generally Italy gets back much less of what we pay.
We are a net contributor too.
As far as the CAP is concerned, Italy is the 4th recipient:
Then again, unlike France, you are not the world's farming products second exporting country...

The UK does not participate in the financing of its rebate. Initially, Germany benefited from a 1/3 reduction of its “normal” share and, since the 2001 correction, Germany, the Netherlands, Austria and Sweden benefit from a ¾ reduction, that is they pay only 25% of their “normal” share. Thus France and Italy pay together approximately half of the UK rebate. The new Member States will finance approximately 8.5% of the UK rebate in 2005.

What about wine?
Italy is #1 in volume, France is #1 in value...
I have yet to see a bottle of Chianti sold $20,000 at Christie's!
I have yet to see a decent celebration soaked with Asti!
Can we go back to the Game, now?
What's your bet?

Like Airbust and Boeing?
Not quite.
Wine sales are not accounted by orders, only by deliveries.
Airbus deliveries beats Boeing in volume AND value.

I was wondering how you were going to spin your little shot to your foot Queenie, you didn't dissapoint me.
Boeing (NYSE: BA) has been in the news lately, and for good reason.
The aerospace giant almost outsold French rival Airbus in 2005, booking 1,029 orders, vs. Airbus' 1,111. Boeing's sales total is the biggest in roughly two decades. Better still, its orders were worth more in dollar terms than Airbus'.
Speaking of deliveries, how's that flying pig doing?
Airbus has confirmed that deliveries of its forthcoming A380 super-jumbo will be delayed by six months.
Its confirmation came after Australian airline Qantas said the delivery of the first of its 12 A380s had been put back from October 2006 to April 2007.
Malaysia Airlines (MAS) have been told by Airbus that the delivery of the six A380-800 planes will be delayed by six months.
The planes will be delivered in July 2007 instead of January 2007.
Executive Director of Malaysia Airlines, Tengku Azmil Zahruddin, said, “…we are naturally disappointed with this delay.”
MAS will discuss with Airbus on the compensation for the delay.
Airbus deliveries, LOL.

The cash comes at delivery, not order.
Airbus deliveries, LOL.
Laugh, Jerry.
Airbus delivered 378 airliners last year, Boeing only 290.
Boeings managers were laughing at Airbus in the 70's too.
They were laughing so hard they didn't see Airbus switching from challenger's to leader's status!
Same is happening to you with the EU.
And not just about medals!

Which is why you blow a load every time airbust gets an order?

DUBAI — Emirates yesterday warned that any further delay on Airbus super jumbo A 380 delivery would create problems, and hinted that the airline would choose between Boeing 787 and Airbus A350 within three to four months.
Maurice Flanagan, group-managing director of Emirates, said if the A 380 delivery gets beyond April, 2007 — the new schedule committed by Airbus following the six-month delay — the airline would face problems as it is the high season.

Airbust is a failure as it will be the Pig380.

I don't.
But YOU blow a fuse at every European success.
It's so funny to see you, like a beheaded duck, constantly switching from denial to mocking, from mocking to bashing, from bashing to libeling, and then back to denial again...

What a typical snob socialist comment. Who else thinks that paying 20,000 dollars for a bottle of wine is anything other than vulgar stupidity?

Poor people?
How crass you are Atlantis, for all your retorts about being a socialist, you reveal yourself to be a rather vulgar and trite nouveau riche wannabee. In Britain these boorish people tend to be laughed at for their excess. I.E. the Beckhams and Elton John et al.

Queenie doesn't make 20K a year, it's not vulgar stupidity, it's Gaullist delusion.

Jerry, you already have problems to acknowledge facts of public notoriety, don't pretend you know things you can't possibly have any clue about.
When stressing the prices gap between French and Italian wines, I didn't give any indication about what price I'm personally ready to pay for a bottle.
What I can tell you is that I prefer to drink water or Coke than ordinary wine.

Indeed Berlu, their are many great wines in Italy I am fond of Barbaresco from Gaja among others but the poor frogs dont have a clue because the shops in France dont sell foreign wines. Those that do, tend to sell cheap and nasty stuff that no one likes to make the frog wine seem palatable. The reality is the world has moved on and the french are still stuck with the delusion of french "superiority" and "greatness".
In a recent blind chamagne taste test in Paris the frogs couldnt even tell the difference between champange and sparkling wine and voted a sparkling wine the best champagne. When it was revealed to them that it was not champagne they refused to believe it!
