I shot my dad's sawed-off 12 gauge a couple days ago, and I didn't realize the kick it would have.

My thumb still hurts.

This is a 10 guage, (twice the size, power and recoil of a 12) and I fired both barrels at once, it is sawed off to 20" so it had four times the recoil of a single 12 ga fired.

Each shot load was 2-1/4 oz, so over a quarter pound of lead hit the Koran.
