It's real simple. I am 1/4 french, but born and raised in SF Bay Area.

My french grandparents were wealthy business owners in France. They owned three hardware stores in and around Aix-en-Provence.

When the socialists came to power, they made doing business in france impossible. My grandparents sold off their business and moved to the USA.

My problem isn't with France. It is with the socialist ticks that inhabit the halls of power in Paris. The political parties of france are left and lefter. Their names do not accurately reflect their politics. Chiraq's party is conservative only when compared to other socialists. My french grandfather likes Sarkosky, but I say to hell with all of them...they are all products of the same broken system.

When a true conservative turns france around, I will, for once in my life, be proud of my french heritage. I won't hold my breath.

Unions once served the average man. Now they serve only socialism.

Death to socialism and communism. Together, they have killed 100 million people, and caused countless amounts of needless suffering.

Incrementally, socialism is starting to destroy the USA. Our once proud manufacturing industry has been unionized out of existence. A thirty-dollar an hour machinist can't compete with a three-dollar an hour automaton from mexico or china.

Close the Mexican and Canadian borders. Anyone violating any oath they have taken should be shot for treason. The democrat party of John F. Kennedy is dead...replaced by international socialism and groupthink.

I used to be a liberal. Then I grew up. Liberalism sounds good on paper, but is abused by man's nature everywhere it is practiced. Checks and balances in government along with a free market economy is the only was to properly allocate the world's resources.

Have you ever heard that it is a bad thing to feed the birds at the amusement park? You know why that's a truth you need to know? Because when you feed the birds at the park, they reproduce as if there is a plentiful food supply. Guess what happens when you go home? The birds starve and die. It is the same with people.

Socialism makes people weak and dependent. If something happens to the state, people die. If something happens to the US government, our people have the knowledge, resources, and resourcefulness to survive. Do yours?

Been to Canada? Ever seen a Canadian trying to purchase medical insurance here in the USA? It's pure comedy. I highly encourage you to view this if you have the means.

Socialist medicine permanently damaged my grandmother. She couldn't even sue the quack because he's a state employee, with a job for life. No matter how incompetent he is, he can't be removed if he shows up on time for work. Is that fair? Fuck no. It's downright criminal.

I agree, but you forgot to mention the right wingers as well. They too exist only to control your thoughts and morals. Granted that the left wing are in the ascendency at the moment, but that can change any day. Why bother fighting left wing nutters if the following day right wing nutters take their place? Consider the old saw "If you're not a liberal at 20 you have no heart. If you're still a liberal at 30 you have no head.". There is much truth in that. People do change. My observation has been that the thing that converts most liberals to conservatism is becoming parents. All the sudden they realize that they don't want their children growing up in the world of "no right and wrong" moral relativism that liberals are trying to create. For the most part, liberalism is about flipping mommy and daddy the bird. When they become mommy and daddy they have a whole new perspective.

He paid his taxes. When the business started losing money because he couldn't fire lazy employees while over-compensating them due to government meddling in private business, he had to pack up and leave. He wasn't willing to allow his future to be decided by useful idiot socialist functionaries.

My wager is most of the Americans on ff.com are quite successful. Many own their own business. Not being very bright does not lead to that. Whereas most french are students (which narrows the age down to something under 50), have government jobs, or are terminally unemployed. That is what not being very bright gets you.
