Earlier today/last night a member broke into the account of another member by guessing his password, and used that account to send a handful of PMs and post a couple of things, pretending to be the other member.

The situation has been discovered and solved, the faulty member banned and the password changed.

Which is the topic of this post: it shouldn't be necessary but appearently it bears repeating: don't use a password that is too trivial. "Fuckfrance", "vivelafrance", "godblessamerica", your own screenname, the name of your country or anything easy to guess for third parties is bad security, and can lead you into trouble. Even on an educational family board like fuckfrance.com.

Hacking into somebody else's account is a form of privacy violation that is not tolerated here. But don't make it too easy for pirates either.
