Yes, Jeff, I agree with you and most people here I assume would also agree.
However, I think maybe you missed the point I was trying to make with whizz, who like most french, can defend someone who makes fun of others based strictly on their looks.
But when he witnesses someone retaliating with remarks about the other person's mental deficiencies rather than a low blow on their looks (which they can do nothing about obviously), he calls it "petit". It says a lot about him, frankly.

You see, this is a typical example of what the french value and honor.
