Its seems logical that the content of some of the materials presented here in ff.com might be offensive for some people and therefore promote this kind of behavior... Once again, lets not take all this too seriously!

GV, he hacked in to people's bank accounts and other personal information using the information he obtained by hacking this forum.
This is beyond someone playing a prank, like many people originally thought.

I probably missed something (again ), but if the cocksucker is talented enough to hack this forum and to collect personal informations from members' computers, how are we sure that he is this "scorpion" guy ? Can't it be someone else who disguises himself as a former member ?

He said he was scorpion, IHAD. Hackers are all about EGO.
After scorpion was banned, he came back as "sandrine" and posted a link with a script that collected the cookies (and passwords) of everyone who clicked on it. Not just FF cookies, either.

Really?! Okay, muppet, I find your misguided, naive, inane bullshit to be offensive so no doubt you will not take it too seriously when I smash you around the head and steal your wallet.
Cunt.

Is it possible to disable new users from being able to post links, scanning links for potential malware and disabling them?

Ah yes, I remember, none.
Were you always such a whining little cunt, or did you work at it your whole life?
A screeshot of you IP address was posted BY ACCIDENT, it was removed and poup apploogized NUMEROUS TIMES.
YOU however threatened to shut down this site, ON PURPOSE.
YOU however PURPOSELY and MALICIOUSLY falsely accused this board of hacking your compouter.
YOU are the one who threatened to get a member deported for daring to speak the truth about your cuntry.
Yet you are still here, and worried about your security no less?
You can stop worrying now Queenie, since your so concerned, I've blocked the compromised ip address to prevent any hacking and security problems.
Thanks for reminding me about that security risk.

Is legal action being taken against the criminal? I don't know what Shon and other people who suffered personal and/or professional damage plan to do. All relevant data are available. Personally I would just let his Imam know that he's eating ham, and where his Renault 5 is parked.
how are we sure that he is this "scorpion" guy ? Can't it be someone else who disguises himself as a former member ? It can. It could be any Algerian former member born on October 22, 1978, living in Rouen and posting from “Scorpion”'s computer.
What "Security Measures" were taken when a mod made my IP address public on this board?
Ah yes, I remember, none. JLS already addressed your post, I'd just like to ask if you can ever stop whining? YOU have successfully demonstrated you hacking skills in the past, yet YOU had no shame in posting unfounded and unsupported accusations. On top of that you have the audacity to implicitly pretend that a sincere unfortunate mistake could be compared to the malicious and intentional invasion of other people's computers.
You have NO idea to what extent the owner and moderators of this board go to protect your privacy. Yes, YOURS too. You have NO idea about the problems and conflicts we have to solve to ensure that the privacy of even (especially?) whining self-righteous hypocrites is and remains sacred here. Or how hard it is to try and maintain equal standards regarding the likes of you on the one hand, and good, noble honest & brilliant members on the other hand. And never mind the sarcasm. [/rant]
Is it possible to disable new users from being able to post links, scanning links for potential malware and disabling them? No. And not likely to happen. With the exception of the issue of privacy mentioned above and the other ToS rules, ff.com doesn't interfere with what links or other material members decide to post. You will not catch a virus or be infected reading and posting here, but you could be by following a link. Up to you to click or not. Members ARE responsible for what they do, what links they click on, and for the anti-viral, anti-troyan and general anti-malware software they use to protect themselves. That doesn't mean malicious links won't be removed, but privacy excepted, ff.com won't protect you or me from ourselves.

Based on the above exchange I think that you are not an honest man.
Yeah, whatever.
JLS already addressed your post,
Who???
I'd just like to ask if you can ever stop whining?
Ask, please, ask!
YOU have successfully demonstrated you hacking skills in the past
Reading a public villagephotos account is not hacking.
Like posting someone photobucket address, the reason why you banned JeanV, is not violating privacy.
I have no hacking skills whatsoever, I can't even manage to reach files on my second computer through my own wireless network...
I do have a lot of imagination and common sense, that's very French, you couldn't understand, but hacking talents? nope!
By the way, my work IP address is blocked, now.
But I suppose this is another colateral damage and that the fact it happened around "Thu Nov 23, 2006 09:05 AM" is just coincidence...
Something tells me that my home IP address will be blocked soon too...

On top of that you have the audacity to implicitly pretend that a sincere unfortunate mistake could be compared to the malicious and intentional invasion of other people's computers.
Actually, I tend to believe that stupidity is more dangerous than bad intentions.
More people die because of accidents than murders.
I didn't follow closely your little Scorpion psycho-drama, but I don't think he could harm this site more than its incompetent management did so far.
But if he edited posts, forged other ones, updated bios with calomnious material, changed avatars, used members' salutes pictures in ff.com logo, banned people or blocked IP address for no reasons, that's something that has already been done on this site, and not by a hacker!
