As part of a software update, there is now a Quote button next to the reply button. This will automatically quote a reply for you so you don't have to copy & paste.

Also, you can now type a reason you gave someone karma. You need to press the "give karma" button on the second page whether you type a reason or not.

Please let me know if there are bugs or if you have any new feature ideas.

Shon, having to click twice to give karma is no good. Can you make it so that you can add a reason after the karma is given?

To me, the "quote" button is pretty useless since I usually quote only parts of posts (especially Baltic's posts).

However, I enjoy the "reason for karma" feature. Now, I can write "I K'd you by mistake" in the "reason for K" box instead of having to write a reply to explain why I K'd Uncle_Meat for confusing mass and force.

I'm just thrilled that you finally removed the "1/1" thing on the karma scoring.

I never understood what that meant. If 7 people K'd you, then you have 7K. So then, "7/7" is redundant.

But this "reason for karma" thing makes me sore. In my anus. I'm sure the two are related.

Like BGA said, can you do a "give a reason after the K is given" instead of before?

It took a k from me every time i k'd it. in other words it allows you to give multiple karmas for one post and deducts them from the daily allowance, applies them all but only show the first one...like normal

this could be a karma reduction scam...

.... i don't think it works. i've been pressing the give karma button and all i'm doing is getting finger prints on my screen. some software upgrade.

Giving Ks will take one more manipulation so I think I will give them less easily.

The quote button is definitely a needed addition, Shon. But the karma reason box, though some like it, adds another step and that's annoying.

Along the same lines as the quote button, a bold text, italics and color button would also be useful ways to highlight blocks of text. Having to break it out and type in brackets and code does slow things down.

This should be fixed, thanks for reporting it.

And the reason the karma was displayed as 1/1 is because there used to be negative karma possible. The second number kept track of all karma, negative or positive. We might turn negative karma back on at some point.

It may be a bad idea.... I can imagine frogs allying against berlu, or unitedstatians against fredmasse (Antifrench, anyone?). If these posters get into negative karma, they may stop posting - and this would take away much of the fun of the forum.
