Yes, I'm open to it.
And In also ask that we let aside our differences in this memorium topic, whoever is celebrated in this topic, and that we avoid any provocation.

Yes why not, but just moving the announce threads there would be I think the best thing to do, or if the person that announced wants to make another one

I think it's a good idea.
But what about those who have just disappeared from this site?
They may have had no one to announce thier passing.
Maybe a "missing in action" thread is needed too.
Of course when you have someone who changes thier name every
6 months,this could create confusion.

Since we have had a few brothers who passed away in the last couple of months, I wonder if you guys would think about creating an IN MEMORIUM topic for us to remember them. I’m not sure badly spelled sections will constitute a unique selling point for this board.
Not to mention the potential dangers of the possible proximity of the “Salute” section and the “Memoriam” section. Just imagine the false hopes and joys if somebody picks the wrong forum to post in.
not post to avoid bad behaviours. Er… like in somebody else decides what’s good behaviour and what’s bad behaviour? On fuckfrance.com? Wouldn’t that be an insult to the deceased, and to the spirit of this site for that matter?
I’m opposed to the idea of board members dying at all. But if they really feel they have to, why should this website create different rules for them?
I don’t see why we should make life easier for dead people.

In Paris, there is some bar wher you can find sheets with the names of people who were used to have a drink here. I think, for exemple to Hemingway. I presume it is the same thing in other cities in the world, isn't it?
Even if you don't know who was the guy at the bar, before you take his place, you understand immediately that the place has a story. And that you're in the continuity of a story. You're somůewhere where it occurred something. Not nowhere. As a French conservative, and as all the conservatives of the world, whatever they are, I like this concept of memory of the places and transmission of stories and history.
In Memoriam is a very good idea.
MIA too...

Maybe something like a Hall of Fame with only their pic or avatar and their screen name in a bar scenery.
Someone skilled at photoshop could do it.

In essence, eventually the Memoriam section would become bigger than any other, and would lose its "specialness".
I don’t see why we should make life easier for dead people.
Yeah, the dead get all the pity.

I didn't dare do the spelling remark thinking maybe it's a plural or something but "in memoriam" for sure sounds better.
But simply a section where the mods would move the announce and 2 or 3 remembrance threads would do it I think

Yes that's true "in memoriam" is way too big as a section name for this place, just a little crescent moon would do the trick probably
(ok a little cross crescent and d star, or just "im" )

Arthur, I posted a partial image because the scale of the work cannot be conveyed on a computer screen.
My ex-wife and I had a lunch on the steps of that museum. I will always cherish that moment when she finished the slide into insanity.

I’m not sure badly spelled sections will constitute a unique selling point for this board.
When there's a "Spelling Nazi" section on this board, it will be all yours, Prescott!
Oh, and can you remove that useless UK section and replace it by "Europe".
Group "about" and "faqs" and open a "sport" section too.
Umm, that will be all, thank you.
