I was stationed at Alameda when they announced the base closures. I was laughing my ass off, especially when Feinstein was screaming to keep them open even after she fought tooth and nail to keep the U.S.S. New Jersey battlegroup from being homeported out of San Fran.

No shit? I did some reserve time on the flightline at NAS Alameda. I couldn't believe it when the ABH1 told me that the interior of the landing field was a raptor sanctuary and that every week or so they would release a white rabbit to feed the hawks.
