Death to France, as I sense your awkwardness in establishing proper relationship and letting it all hang out, here's some advice.

You've seen those people who seem to be comfortable in any social situation. What's their secret?

Instructions
Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Steps

One
Dress to kill. Wear something either very fashionable or very flashy (but tasteful), depending on your intent. Well-tailored clothes imply class; bold outfits are hard to forget. Go fora yellow shirt, blue trousers and red shoes.

Two
Make a grand entrance - carry a kazoo and announce your arrival. Better yet, provide your friends with kazoos and let them do it for you.

Three
Stand up straight and look people directly in the eye. Self-assurance is very attractive. If you have to fake it, then fake it. It gets easier the more you practice. People will believe that there must be some underlying reason for your self-confidence. Keep staring and hold contact no matter what, don't blink. Open your eyes wide. Full pupils drive women wild.
Smile and make eye contact with every person you speak with. Flirt a little. As the party progresses, flirt a lot. Don't end up alone in a room with someone, though. You wouldn't be sure what to do. Groping is an excellent idea. It drives women wild.

Four. Compliment each person you talk to and find out something interesting about them, such as their matching socks or hearing aids. People are most interested in themselves. Everyone has something intriguing about them - you just may have to dig a little to find it. Try to spot moles or speech impediment and joke about it with them. Speak to women about their large breasts. It drives them wild.

Five. Circulate!! Don't get trapped with the same people all evening. Break away abruptly within two minutes of meeting someone and move on. You can always come back. If someone starts addressing you, excuse yourself immediately and walk away.

Six. Be aware of current events and movies, and have a couple of tasteful, funny jokes on hand. If you have to read the news right before you leave, then do it. You'll be able to start a conversation and then learn more about the topic from the people you talk to. Talk about politics, money or religion.

Seven. Lurk by the food or doors. Great passageways.

Tips & Warnings
It may help to keep an index card handy at first while you practice this. Slip away and make notes to yourself if you have a bad memory for names. Repeat them to yourself quietly while moving your lips silently.

Don't drink so much you lose control. The life of the party isn't really the guy with the lampshade on his head.
Just kidding, drink up all you can and empty the bar. It drives the women wild.

Perhaps you should clarify what you mean by "private information," shon. Do you mean only photographs or all private information?

The TOS are outdated and need serious revision or, to be more exact, to be rewritten to conform to the realities of the site.

Right now, the official TOS are canned statements and cannot be used as a proper guide to conduct by a member, as some are enforced, some not, some inapplicable, and many changed by a subsequent thread posted by the owner or a moderator, but without actually modifying the posted TOS.

For someone who has been around a while, this isn't a problem: because of experience, he or she knows what is or is not permissible. But for the new member who doesn't have the advantage of experience, the published TOS are useless as a guide to conduct on the site.

I recommend that the owner, the moderators, or both, do a wholesale rewriting of the TOS to actually fit them to the site and how it operates, consider problems and disputes that have occured over the years, and answer, in a final form, many of the questions (e.g. posting of PMs, etc)that come up. The revised TOS should be in an easy-to-read format and inequivocable. They should then be enforced consistently. Changes after that should be made by a sticky announcement and then editing the TOS so anyone can review them by clicking the appropriate link.

I was under the impression that the terms of service were merely legal jargon to protect FF from getting sued. Perhaps we should keep the ToS as is, and instead have a seperate rulebook, which could be written in plain and simple English.

We can see here, and it is not the first time, that Vox is asking for a Roman law inspired system as opposed to a more Anglo Saxon (or limey inspired) common law thing.

I say Vox is a FROG !! That's obvious

You know, I never read the ToS. Funny stuff:

User agrees not to post material that is knowingly false and/or defamatory, misleading, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, that otherwise violates any law, or that encourages conduct constituting a criminal offense.

LOL!

User agrees not to use nicknames that might be deemed abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise inappropriate.

LMAO!

We strictly prohibit the posting of the following types of content on all areas of our sites:

nudity, pornography, and sexual material of a lewd, lecherous or obscene nature and intent or that violates local, state and national laws.

any material that is threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, invasive of privacy or publicity rights, vulgar, obscene, profane, indecent, or otherwise objectionable; including posting other peoples' private information.

hate propaganda or hate mongering, swearing, or fraudulent material or activity;

Yes, no swearing on FUCKFRANCE.

I'm with Vox. Unless this is written to provide liability-protection for shon, it needs to be completely re-done.
