I think it's great. Those frogs work so hard, they need another break.

A French air traffic controllers' strike forced cancellation of some flights in and out of Orly, Paris's second airport, on Monday at the start of a week of threatened air travel disruption in the French capital.

France's civil aviation authority (DGAC) said one in two flights was cancelled at Orly, south of Paris.

There had also been some delays to flights at the larger Charles de Gaulle Airport at Roissy, north of the capital, which is home to Air France, a DGAC spokeswoman said.

Both airports are owned and operated by Aeroports de Paris.

The CGT union was protesting at plans to move Orly controllers to Roissy before regrouping them all on one site near Paris in 2015. The CGT last week foresaw industrial action continuing up to next Friday with up to 50 percent of flights being cancelled at Orly and lesser disruptions at Roissy.

The more moderate CFDT union withdrew plans for similar action after talks with the DGAC

"I had a flight this morning for Bordeaux which was cancelled so I now have a flight at mid-day. So I'll be spending my morning here, waiting," said passenger Nicole Geantet at Orly.

"The air control authorities are trying to change the way air traffic control works but no-one believes in it. The biggest ever European study invalidates it," said Jean-Paul Armango, a member of CGT's air traffic branch.

The strike is the latest in a series of industrial actions to hit Paris air traffic.

In October, Air France cabin crew went on strike for five days over pay and conditions, hitting thousands of travelers during a public holiday and school holidays.

In December and January, strikes by Air France ground crew forced some flights to be cancelled.

Does any airline actually fly in or out of Fwance? Seems like someone at the airports are always on strike. I guess the travelers just fly to a neighboring country and take a train into Fwance. Oh, wait a minute, aren't the railways on strike most of the time? I hope if I ever have to fly again, I will be able to avoid flying into Fwance.

You fucking EU states boast brilliant public transport and bullet trains. If the communist Frogs go on strike at the air port, just catch the train to Frankfurt and fuck off out of the EU that way.
But then again, I'd prefer to get somewhere by warming up the planet with billion year old carbon generating dinosaur blood, than being eco-mentalist and catching a train powerd by the wind.

FUCK FRANCE!!!!

Or an innate love for life.

It's a question of perspective.

No it's not an "innate love for life" it's just plain laziness. Your air traffic controllers are not happy because they have to move to a different location, so they inconvenience, the traveling public? This happened in the US once, and Regan fired them all! That's what should happen to whiney little froggies!! Problem is that it doesn't matter what you do, flying through Frogistan is NEVER a good idea and that is why I don't do it any more. Much better to fly through Amsterdam or Zurich, then you don't lose your luggage or get delayed for a day while the froggies protest having to work that horrible 35 hour work week. Doesn't matter though, soon enough your muzzie masters will not be allowing flights through Fwance at all, then you can spend the rest of your lives on your knees, only there to please them.

Who are you to say what's good or wrong for the French? You're here wasting your time on FF instead of working. Get back to work you slacker. You don't like our way of life? Too bad, fuck you! You think we should abide to your standards? Too bad, fuck you! Seeing the word "strike" in the news section has you in a rash? Too bad, fuck you!

Lets turn a negative situation into a positive one. Lets urge all Frogs to strike - from shop owners to Elephant Poo Cleaners in the zoo because at least then they'll all starve to death in the sewage infested houses.

And then we won't be moaning about the frogs anymore but rejoicing!

I don't get it. Weren't they just talking shit about their "eco-friendly" new bullet trains? How about that big piece of shit, the airbus? what's the fucking point of bothering in building transportation means, when all they do with it is ground it constantly with transportation strikes? What a bunch of fucking lazy ass retards. They should put the strikers inside a plane, and let the Taliban fly it for them.

Fwance is fucked :D

When you get tired of this crap bring your business to the US. The world's most productive workers are ready to go. Low dollar means low expenses, skilled workforce, reliable transportation, reliable energy, low taxes etc.

One Airport, one Union in all of France and this makes the headlines of the whole world.

Anyway, more and more are getting sick of this CGT Union when one knows that all Union make 9% of the all work force in France and CGT is 25% (plus or minus) of those 9%.

I had always believed that CGT is a terrorist body in France, it makes more harm than bombs and its leaders should be "Guillotined".
