I am a 100% male.. not a colon cowboy stinky and I have two cats. Cats rule.. Don't hear me wrong, I have zero issues with dogs or other pets. I have had several dogs when I was young. Having cats is more conducive for our lifestyle. We travel a lot and with dogs, the overhead would be way too much. With cats, I put out a few bowls of food and water and I am set.

I will agree that cat's personalities differ. Some can be very social where as others are strict loners. Both of my cats are great, with the exception of the oldest one is starting to piss on things. I don't know how to break this habit, she is actively trying to reduce her lifespan.
