In determining the medal count for the EU fantasy team, no European who medals but had an EU qualifying mark outside the top 3 EU qualifying marks should count

To make your point, FAT, I'm afraid you will have to open another thread about an hypothetic EU team results where you would remove any medal won by a European athlete out of Europe's top-3 in the qualifications.
To be fair, you will also have to take the 4 best relay individual performances to estimate hypothetic EU relay times.
In team sports, you will also have to estimate what the results of a team made of Europe's best would be.
That's a lot of work, and if you think that a European 4th best (or worse) has many chances to win a gold medal, I think you will be disappointed by the results.

The rules of this prediction are much more simple.
