"During the War of Northern Aggression against all odds, the Confederacy successfully and honorably fought for their new country for five years."
You mean of course four years (count them, from 1st Bull Run to Appomattox). Your word "successfully" is interesting. The Confederacy SURRENDERED.
"In WWII France did not think their country, about which French degenerates try to unsuccessfully convince the world of its greatness, was worth fighting for five weeks."
Bullshit. Fact is, the Germans landed a knockout, killer blow on the French in the first few days, and the situation was critical from that moment. The French fought on until late June when the position was completely hopeless and they had little left to fight with (rather like the rebel southerners did).
"The only sensible thing to do is to keep hammering away, since it has clearly struck a nerve"
You mean, "since it is clearly the only hackneyed argument I've got".
You're such a ludicrous wannabe-hero.
