Don;t mix nation building with the wars. Nation building is the post war solution. They do it since they don't know any better way to handle the post war situation. Do you?

Attacking Iraq did help National Security. If Iraq was not attacked, Saddam would have been set free, which almost happened in the end of 2002. And by now he would have probably had nukes. You don't think, like French, that he completely abandoned any idea of getting WMD, do you?

More importantly, we proved that we can fight wars on the ground and tolerate bleeding. That's something that we had to do.
Could Iraq be handled better? Absolutely. By whom? by fucking nobody. It was a lesson to be learned and applied later.

America does not exist to safeguard Israel anymore than Israel exists to safeguard America. If Israel can't stand on its own two feet without massive US foreign aid and international protection, then it doesn't deserve to exist as a nation.

ARe you reading this using Windows XP? Much of it was coded in Israel. We get access to their medical, defence, and scientific research, military intelligence, a democratic ally in the region, etc. Not to mention political influence used to help (in theory) contain a lot of the violence/bullshit that goes on in the ME.
