Fake memories? Hell, I practicly lived there. (My GF at the time was from Napoli).

OK..off the top of my head:

"Precepe": a nativity scene at Christmas time, a real big deal in Naples. During the season, they have a whole street devoted just to shops that sell figures, stands, etc so you can construct your own. I went to an exhibition/competition one Christmas and saw a 3m by 6m one made entirely of chocolate.

"Sfoliatella": local pastry consisting of a bazillion layers of dough. My fav was filled with chocolate.

I went to THE Pizzaria in Naples where they claim pizza was invented (same dude who presented it to the Queen of Italy, way back when). Can't remember the name of it, though. I had a couple Peroni's with mine.

They also have some local chocolate sauce made with pig's blood, too. never tried it, but its quite popular there.

You were probably a toddler sucking your Mom's tit when I was there, so no digital photos. I have only transparencies and film negatives.

Next time, mebbe I'll tell you about the time I took the overnight train from Rome to Venice, with two French girls.
