Okay. Be serious one moment. Who is who and who is eating snails, frogs or other disgusting asiatic food?
Vote and discuss.
For my part, I enjoy to eat snails (I ate few weeks ago incredible snails cooked with gaperon, a cheese from Limagne, but without garlic as a starter in a fantastic restaurant near Vichy). But I can't eat frogs legs. I did it one time: this is boring to eat and I got the impression to swallow a fetus.

I've tried both.
Frog legs are good.
Snails not so much.

Been eating frog legs all my life, tried snails a couple of times, disgusting.
Going frogging was a good excuse to stay out all night when we were kids.

Where did you eat frogs?
For snails, you must eat them carrefully and verify their origin. A lot of them come from Africa and Australia. Giant ones with which they fill 4 "Bourgogne's" shells. They have no taste.

What about horses?
I can't. My GrandPa, the father of my mother, would have killed us if we did...

Like JLS, I'm a hillbilly. I used to catch them myself as a kid. I've had lots of frogs legs. They're really good.
Snails only a few times. They were smallish. Not horrible, but never something I'd call good either.

The only food I never eat is anything British. Having said that, frog legs are a pain, it's like tiny chickens, and snails are nothing without garlic butter, so may as well forego the snails.
Anyhow, this whole stereotype is retarded, I bet most of the people who eat frog legs or snails in France are tourists in restaurants who think it's the national dish or something.

If you think they are a pain to eat, try cleaning them.

aren't hill billies terribly inbred?
i never would have guessed it in your 2 cases
What are DAF? (for asiatic disgusting food, that's quite normal. You live at Hong Kong, no? They're civilized).

I agree with you Lily. The only flavour of a snail is the shit within, and the butter and garlic on the outside. Frog and horse are a NO-NO, around here. Some of the old peasants may be partial to sucking on a piece of horsemeat, but it is difficult to find in the supermarket.
