Yes, the should buy boeings, Boeings never crash, it's well known! (especially the B787 but it's easy, it doesn't fly...)

That hasn't stopped the Me Too Airliner Company (Airbust) from spending billions in a rush job to copy it (A350). And they still don't have a finished design for it. It's been "redesigned" how many times now?

Flying in Africa is dangerous. Flying a third rate 3rd world company in Africa is suicidal. Rotten aircrafts, cheap crew, zero maintenance...

Yes, ground the entire fleet.

I just wouldn't feel safe in an Airbus travelling at 500 watts at an altitude of 40,000 litres.

You must be an Airbus engineer.

Here's the problem.

From the A310 schematic, page 111.

The 'fool-proof' node (see the emitter, base, collector above).

A NPN transistor is used. If they had used a PNP transistor, at least they'd be in 'fool-proof' mode when voltage = 0 and all power had been removed from the airframe.

Crash plane passed safety checks in May
30/06 14:21 CET

The Yemeni transport minister said the stricken plane had undergone a full inspection in May under the supervision of Airbus engineers. A team of Airbus investigators is due in the crash zone soon.

The European Union’s Transport Commissioner is to propose a global blacklist of airlines following the Comoros crash. Antonio Tajani said it would be along similar lines to the list which currently operates in the EU.

Yemenia Airways is due to be interviewed by the European Union’s safety committee. The airline is not banned by the EU but France subjects its planes to more rigorous checks than others.

The jet that crashed was built in 1990, and had been used by Yemenia since 1999.

COMORO AIRBUS: AL ARABIYA, ALSO THE PILOT SURVIVED
(AGI) - Rome, 30 June - In addition to the 5 year old boy, also the pilot of the Airbus A310 survived. The plane crashed during the night near the Comoro Island, with 153 people on board. The news has been reported by the website of TV channel Al Arabiya, quoting internal sources of air company Yemenia Air, according to which the pilot, Khaled Usher, born in Aden 45 years ago, is alive. Usher is a very lucky man: Al Arabiya also reported that he was one of the hostages in the Taj Hotel in Mumbai, during the terrorist attacks last November.

I flew on an Airbus flying coffin and survived. Yes, it is akin to winning the lottery.

What is Airbus batting for June? 4 for 378? Four major incidents and 378 fatalities. That's a DPI (deaths per incident) of just 94.5. I'm sure they can improve that stat with the A380. :D
