Hmmmmm....

Damn this is a bombshell and I initially thought this was a dumb move but perhaps not...

I have been reading comments, news articles, etc on Obama and I am detecting a slow but profound shift in public opinion. Obama is very quickly losing independants and moderates on issues like cap/trade and healthcare. Even the Obamabot apologists can only reply with the usual deny, deflect, accuse horseshit. That doesn't cut any ice with people getting screwed by cap/trade or unemployed.

Being out of office affords her some advantages. The dems have been pumping money into Alaska to get her on bullshit ethics charges. Why fuck around wasting time/money on that? Sarah is NOT a quitter and isn't going anywhere soon.

While I prefer other 'pubs like Jindal and Boehner she does have undeniable star power and the ability to galvanize the GOP base in a profound way. Now would be a great time to get some national cred, win over independants, and start hammering the Obama attack media where it hurts - on the issues.

In fact, the governor does not need much more than a ballot line from the aimless, tongue-tied, villain-rich GOP. She certainly does not need the GOP to do well in the congressional mid-terms in 2010; she does not need the party to improve its flabby polling on health care or trust; she does not even need the Republican Party to raise a voice to explain her positions on the burning controversies on Capitol Hill. Palin does not need to prove anything at all about wise government, because she appeals directly to the anti-authoritarian crowd that has been with us since Shay’s Rebellion in 1787. It is an accident of history, and of John McCain’s whimsy, that Sarah Palin caught Potomac Fever in September ‘08, and it will carry her either to the White House or to that place even rarer, where the Kingfisher dwells, called what-could’ve-been.

If she can get preened and briefed by high quality Conservative™ experts and avoid the RINO and NEOCon crowd this could be the magic bullet that the Donks have feared.

Get with the primitive cash balance conservatives and clear out the mouth breathers in the GOP who have been dragging us down the path the donks took and pick a solid, and well reasoned running mate.

And this "could" be epic.

She could also get sucked into the Karl Rove world of RINO and forever destroy the GOP.

It might just be wishful thinking, but in a way I hope she just got wise to it all and realized that politics in this country really isn't worth the bullshit she's been put through.

She has a young family, a new baby and grandchild – If I were in her position, I’d tell them all to fuck off too.

2. Then, if she wants to run for president starting in 2010, after having won, she then has to abandon the people who re-elected her to run for president? Not a good idea, only a selfish, self centered arrogant fuck would run for an office he does not intend to serve in so he could collect a check and run for another office. (That is not Sarah Palin and you would think less of her if she did do something like that)

Unlike the current First Lady, Palin doesn't seem to have much of an entitlement mentality.

The Obama left is soon to be discredited. 2010 election they're gonna get fucked. Then, people like Palin will look very good. She'll do okay. Probably smart move.

You happen to catch her speech in it entirety?

She talked about having to respond to countless ethics complaints filed in the last eight months none of which were sustained, all of which were meritless, each of which distracted her and her staff from their work and cost the state millions in legal fees to defend.

Listened to nearly all of it, and I've read the transcript several times.

What I'm wondering is how they'll hit her in the pocketbook now that they can't file ethics violation after ethics violation.
