The complaint came from French co-operation minister Alain Joyandet after the US forces turned back a French aid plane carrying a field hospital from the damaged, congested airport in the Haitian capital of Port-au-Prince last week. "This is about helping Haiti, not about occupying Haiti," the Express quoted Joyandet, as saying. But France played down on Tuesday reports of the rift with US over Haiti, saying cooperation between the two countries was going well. The diplomatic effort came even as Haitians jammed the fence of the palace grounds to cheer as US troops emerged from helicopters.
Face it, we are still a superpower.

RUSSELS/PORT-AU-PRINCE: A French minister has called for a United Nations investigation into the dominant US role in Haiti, saying that
international aid efforts were about helping the quake-stricken country, not "occupying" it. His comments came even as US soldiers landed on the lawn of Haiti's shattered presidential palace on Tuesday to the cheers of quake victims.

"We are happy that they are coming, because we have so many problems," said Fede Felissaint, a hairdresser. Given the circumstances, he did not even mind the troops taking up positions at the presidential palace. "If they want, they can stay longer than in 1915," he said, a reference to the start of a 19-year US military presence in Haiti.

This would be a perfect candidate for split screen....him on one half ranting about the evil US while in the other half you have Haitians cheering as GIs get off the transports and tell reporters in interviews they want to US to take over the country so something will finally get done there. :D

I bet this fuck uses the words "UN Investigation" or "UN Leadership" without thinking at all. It is just coming out of his subconsciousness. Like "UN should investigate Israel war crimes!". It is just a phrase for him, like "Good Morning".

What an ass! How does he imagine such an investigation and what would be the consequences? How about investigating Oil for Food, fucking cunt?

This French childish trust in UN might - that there is an almighty ultimate international body that only does good and will come and fix everything, and punish those who make French cry - would be cute if it was not so imbecilic

Well, he is not one of our ministers...But I concede: with Obonga in the Office our ministers may be even worse than that French whiner or that Chavez's papa Gorilla.

he frogs elect people with no brains.

I think we can teach them a thing or two, Martsy, given who we have in the office. I bet French National Security folks don't have anybody of the level of Napolitano. Even in the janitorial stuff

So here it starts, just as I thought it would. It follows a very familiar script, so to speak. It didn't take long for us to catch flak from our critics about our intervention in Haiti, a country that is totally dysfunctional.

The french? They never know when or where to take a stand. During the war they were right down the middle of the street.

We must thank them though. We did not suffer so much as our troops today from PTS, ( post traumatic stress syndrome).

For that we can thank the french for their wine, cognac, and especially the favors of their women. Their women loved Americans and went out of their way in every way to show it.

This did a lot to rid us of the horrors we experienced in the war.

Merci you turds.
