Hey Jackass, I asked you a question. I thought you Yurps were such geography masters. Is no part of Turkey in Europe? Big-mouthed jackass.

Nope. I'm an American. My mother and daughter are DARs. I just want to be as much of a friend to our European allies as they have been to us over the past 65 years.

So I say
Turkey in the EU - NOW!! :D

Damn! I hope the implosion of the Euro doesn't destroy the EU and lead to a major war before we get the Turks involved. Lords knows they love a good world war just as much as the frogs or the limeys (nobody enjoys it quite like the krauts).

Turkey Belongs In The European Union

America believes that as a European power, Turkey belongs in the European Union. Your membership would also be a crucial advance in relations between the Muslim world and the West, because you are part of both. Including Turkey in the EU would prove that Europe is not the exclusive club of a single religion, and it would expose the "clash of civilizations" as a passing myth of history.

Just more evidence that Jorge W. Bush is an imbecile.

Jorge wanted Mexico in the US too-- not the country, just all the Mexicans.

I wonder what that darling of the "conservatives" Marco "I am a Jeb Bush stooge" Rubio thinks about this?

About time Britain left the European Union & went back to strengthening their allegiance with Commonwealth (British Empire Dominions) to tell the EU that they can shove their open borders up their arse.

The U.K. will be better off with family than neighbours.

I commend you, Dewi, for your noble defense of the strength and cohesion of the EU.

as soon as the party whip says they won't be re endorsed by the party, they will fall back into line. They love being MPs but the though of fighting a campaign as inddependents or leaving politics frightens them

I agree with Dewey for once. Turkey doesn't belong in the EU, and everybody who's got a say in the matter knows it. The most important countries of the EU (France, Germany) have said they'll veto Turkish membership and many other countries would do the same if necessary - not least Greece, Cyprus and Austria.

The pro-Turkey group in the EU is much smaller than the antis, and includes Poland and the UK (both presumably acting on American orders), and Berlusconi (who is probably being bribed). None of these have much real clout at Brussels and they'll be ignored.

Turkey fulfils NONE of the preconditions (most of it isn't even in Europe) and they're Muslims too. Nuff said.

EU circles think they might develop enough to be admitted (after very far-reaching reforms and elimination of their religion) in the next generation: maybe in the 2030s. But I wouldn't bet on it.

You're full of shit. You krauts are pussies. The only testicles in Germany are hanging below a Turk. The don't need to eliminate their religion, they'll just impose it on you.

The only reason it hasn't happened yet is because the Turks were slow to radicalize but they're catching on.

Turkey in the EU - NOW!! It is known.
