the last night of the proms is always a family night here - when our kids were small they were always allowed 2 stay up and be part of it - 2 see them conducting themselves with drumsticks or knitting needles and singing their little hearts out would bring a lump 2 your throat and the tradition is now carried on with the Grandchildren doing likewise

it used to be you had 2 have a ticket from all the prom season concerts 2 be able 2 apply for a 'Last Night' ticket but I do not think that is 100% correct now money speaks louder than words in some cases

and we have lost several of our star turns all dressed up in the front row in top hat and tails and all decorated with the Union Flag they have passed on but their spirit is still with us
