I seem to recall a recent thread by Shon announcing the end of duplicate accounts.

It seems as though that rule is only enforced for some.

I thought Shon made it quite specific that only he could ban former mods.

I have unbanned him, and let me tell you why:

1. You and he obviously have a huge beef with each other, so you should have had other mods deal with him if possible.

2. Most importantly, his account is older than 1 year, and you needed at least two other mods to sign off on the ban. These two important items were spelled out in the post that announced the new mods, so I fully expect the mods to abide by them.

3. Not only that, he was a former moderator, so like it or not, you should have involved me in such a high-level banning. While he is no longer a mod, I still think he deserves a bit of respect for the work he did.
