If you post flames outside the flames board, you're getting banned.

So will excessively off-topic or redundant posts. If you don't like a particular thread or participant, flame him/her all you want on the Flames board. You do not get to muck up their thread with off-topic, redundant, or personal attacks.

If you want a particular style of photo thread, then create it. It should be clear in the title thread. And if someone trolls or posts off-topic comments, then mod report it.

If you think this is less than free speech, then you're an idiot. You have the ability to create threads on virtually any topic you want. But disrupting someone else's free speech is not free speech.

The bans may start out as temporary if I'm in a good mood, or may just be a permanent one if I'm not. You can still pay to unban yourself, but it gets more and more expensive each time.

If you don't like my rules, get the fuck out. And join all your little trollies in your big circle jerk. I don't shell out over a hundred bucks a month so you can shit all over my house.

What The Fuck is this site about?
This site presents a humorous look at those wild and crazy French. Though nobody knows my true nationality, I actually don't hate the French—this is not a racist or hateful site, believe it or not. However, I believe in free speech and open expression. I do think the French collectively thumb their noses at "lesser" cultures and probably deserve a wake-up kick in the ass. If nothing else, this is an experiment in communication, a way to butt heads with those you may disagree. I'd rather wage a war of words than with fists.

A note about September 11, 2001
I don't care if you slam the US or me. I have thicker skin than that. The US is not perfect—no country in the world is. It just so happens that France is less perfect than most. I find everything here very amusing and so should you. Just don't make fun of the terrible loss of life that happened on September, 11, 2001. That's not funny. At all. Doing so will get you and your comments banned in an SQL second. Thank you.

What Shon has decided is policy is exactly what I was doing when I was moderator. We differed in opinion at the time, and I resigned. I predicted it would come to this, and I welcome an athouritarian and ever-present website owner, that is the only way you get the prespective of what kind of shit goes on.

What about the original stipulation of some sort of common level of decency? The original rules forbad mocking dead US soldiers etc. I don't think using this site as a cache for barely legal porn is a legitimate case of freedom of expression.

For example, I am perfectly ok with anyone saying that hate / dislike / disagree with

A) whites
B) Catholics
C) Americans

of which I am all three. I do not whine about the threads mocking any one of those traits nor would I want them removed.

It's legal for the Klan to march in public. The same isn't generally true in regards to sexually explicit material. Without a doubt, racist speech is protected whereas smut often falls outside protected speech.
