My old farmhouse was built by my g-g-grandfather. My g-g-grandmother was kind of eccentric, or crazy. She was supposed to wander around all night with a lantern going back and forth to an old church across the field. She died in the water closet i.e. on the potty, which was in my room as a child. This was long before I was born. Her son, my g-grandfather killed himself with a shotgun but not on the property. I dont remember anything too weird ever going on there but once, as a child, I heard someone clearly speak my name while I was alone, sitting in a rocking chair. The voice seemed to come from my left very close to me. No one was there

Yes...the diner is just up the road from this house. The house is just past a car dealership too...Healy I think is the name of the dealership. Goshen is very beautiful...especially on a Sunday evening when no one is around. We took a drive up Sarah Wells trail too...they say that is haunted but I don't see anything but HUGE houses. Big money on that road.

The city isn't that far from Goshen...you should take a drive up and see if you can get better photos than I have gotten so far.

by the way...the county building has been condemned. The court house next to it is fine but the rubix cube looking building (I've always called it that) is done. I heard they are either going to refurbish it or just tear it down and build another one.

They're tearing that thing down finally. It was ugly.

That must be the city of Newburgh...we are in the town. If you do come up, check out the waterfront down by the river in the city of Newburgh. It's really nice.

A few good restaurants in Newburgh are Capri which is in the city of Newburgh on broadway. Vesuvios is in the town of Newburgh on Dupon Ave. Both of those are Italian but if you would like a nice steak, try Schlesingers on 207 going into New Windsor.

Or just have your pick of a restaurant down by the river. Parking can suck but the views from the restaurants make it well worth it.

Oh yeah guess how I got up to twin lakes to get laid. Met a couple local girls who took a liking to me. In a parking lot ...same day.

The people are different. When I moved from Georgia to NY, it was like going to a different planet. People are harder here...I guess more of it is in the attitude.

Now I'm trying to convince my hubby to retire to Georgia...Suwanee Georgia. It's right outside Atlanta and I already found a house...now if I can just get him to freaking retire already!

Thanks for asking NT but no. I just had my third back injection on Thursday and now we are looking into possible back surgery in Philadelphia PA.

This whole back thing sucks too...I've put on weight because I can't do much and the next thing we are looking at is back surgery in Philadelphia PA. It's called the laser spine institute...small cuts to the back and less healing time. I just want to be able to stand and walk for a few minutes without bending over in pain.
