Doing well, Meechie, thanks for asking. It's been a busy summer, and I can't believe how quickly it has flown by. Before you know it, the Fall Semester will be here.
Good luck with your back; hopefully they won't have to operate.

OK its still suburbia...... it was barely
but up some dirt roads and mountain sides..... along with the people ya could of fooled me
go an hour north and tell me you're not in the backwoods of Tennessee ......no different
The people are different. When I moved from Georgia to NY, it was like going to a different planet. People are harder here...I guess more of it is in the attitude.
Now I'm trying to convince my hubby to retire to Georgia...Suwanee Georgia. It's right outside Atlanta and I already found a house...now if I can just get him to freaking retire already!
The kitchen needs remodeling...that should be fun!
I see what you're saying I understand
About them being hard
I remember you came up in the late late 60s or 70's?
That was the first wave of white flight out of NYC.
I've only been to atlanta but being a rag man I've also have had the privilage of also going to north and south Carolina a lot. To the woods!
Some families though have been upstate NY forever. and when ya go up past Sullivan
Or head even over the deleware to Penn. Or go up toward Western mass
Not even an hour you're in the Country
And they be rednecks there
Theirs nothing wrong with it they're good people
But by you yes you still have that harder edge. Yes I agree.
But ya got farmers and mountain boys who have been up there by you for generations
Ya telling me a lot of the real natives wouldn't fit right in in Georgia?
Those 200 year old houses didn't come from nowhere.
They also got double wides
go go get him to retire or is he pumping up his pension?
your kids are grown ya had a good life up there good jobs go
tell him you're tired of the winters
your back hurts you're a southern belle and ya need heat. ya have had enough |

late 60's or 70's? No way...we moved to New York back in 84.
Those 200 year old houses didn't come from nowhere.
They also got double wides
LOL...yep, NY has its fair share of trailer park people.
The nice thing about Suwanee Georgia is that it's not too southern which is what my husband is afraid of. It's right outside of Atlanta, so he can go and enjoy a good baseball game but it's close enough for me to travel and see my really really southern friends and family. Plus he is close enough to the atlanta airport where he can fly back and forth to NY. It's a win win! |

I saw your post meechie
I logged off
Then I was busy pissing everyone off
What else is new eh
And I forgot to ask Hadrian something
Im thinking of balls ....the ff member balls
Member
balls
I'm trying to stop a ghey dick joke from happening but its not working out so well
You went up in the 80 check
We're not the only ones
Balls
I got the sneaking suscpicion he's from highland mills and used to fight at the acorn pub over on that road that runs toward Walton and greenwood lake
The real original fight club.
God I hope that place burned to the ground.
Do you know about the acorn. Its locally legandary for the weekly brawls
New burg new Windsor was more built up I'm up there I remember 1974
But as ya can tell I hung around the southern parts of the county which were much less built up especially In the 70's
Today as you know its even more ridiculous then then the 80s 90s
In the 90s the first MC mansions started going up
Ya know who lives in the lake.... Greenwood lake
Jeeter
besides my relative that's still there. I'm pretty sure it was Hadrian who has a relative there in greenwoodlake
Hadrian is that the relative in greenwoodlake house?
He was just up there not to long ago
Balls is an orange Ulster or dutchess boy I can smell it on him
Guys like balls from upstate fit right in down south.
They grow up hunting they fish they camp they farm ....they're good ol boys
They wear flannels drive pickups ride dirt bikes
Drink cheap 30 packs in high school at the end of dirt roads on top of mountains
. As a kid it was great
They'd send ya up there for a month or two
Then your parental unit or units would come get ya and yad be on the jersey shore for a week or two
Or yad get taking to Disney world or the grand canyon
The summer was always a break for me I didn't have the easiest of childhoods.
Loved it as a kid and young teen . I discoverd fire island at 18 and had drivers license
And was getting into making money
I didn't start going back up their alot until I started giving the mills in newburg and PO-town business
I called uncle bill
Where ya been kid
Bah bah bah blah blah blah
I gotta go now no matter what. Coming Friday night or Saturday morn
Why ya think my sister wanted a place way out in the woods . My sister and brother have been going up there and staying since the late 60s
Even less people then
Whatever ya do don't say nothing about pine bush to global village.
Ya know I actually have a pine bush black helecopter story
Pitch black 3 in the morning
Pine bush
This is last decade my mom was croaking just a few years ago
Pine bush middle of the night one gas station open
Me and my car
One other customer his car
All of a sudden helicopter goes over
No lights nothing
Fucker was low but when I looked up no lights anywhere
Ya didn't hear him till he was right on top of ya
The sound disappears fast to
Army guys of ff if a helicopter is lower can ya hear it from a far distance?
Could of been just something from Stewart and them fucking around with night vision
If I was a mussie fueling up the camel I would of never known ,heard, or seen what just killed me . I would of been dead before they flew over my head and i realised their was a helicopter flying around in the area.
Surprised the shit out of me
Should I tell global village what's out there?
Ya know what's in the creepy fields out there?
Dick Cheneys UFO whether machine base.....YEAh it is!!!!
And ya know who lives in Montgomery out on 211
Our black school administrator who posts here.
He Wasnt well he maybe dead. What was his screen name? |

I was visited by my dead friend, didn't know it was him, but felt a strong presence, which scared the crap out of me. I was lying in bed and felt that someone had come thru the window, could feel them, then it was coming closer, I was a 19 year old kid and stuck my head under the covers. When I felt it standing next to me, all of a sudden, all the fear left and I felt peace, then felt it leaving. I jerked the cover back to see who it was, and there was nothing there. Next morning, on my way to the latrine, saw that they were packing my best bud's shit, asked if he was in jail again, was informed he had been killed on patrol the night before, right about the time I felt his presence. I believe spirits exist, at least for a short time, after a person dies. |
